1. Understand the operation status of the escalator

2. Establish necessary safety measures for maintenance


Technical Regulations: ① Before maintenance and repair, safety railings and signs reading "Escalator Under maintenance, Do Not use" (one at the top and one at the bottom) must be set up first. When necessary during maintenance and repair, the main power switch can be cut off and a sign reading "Under maintenance, Do not close" should be hung on the switch. ③ If the steps under maintenance have been removed from the escalator, only the "maintenance box" can be used to operate the escalator at the maintenance speed. No one is allowed to stand on the steps. After the maintenance and repair are completed, it is necessary to check that no debris or tools are left inside the escalator.


Inspection standards: ① It is required that the railings and obstacles be conspicuous and effectively prevent people from entering the site; ② Ensure that escalators are not started casually during maintenance and repair. Especially when there are people in the staircase, the main power switch can be cut off. If necessary, it can be locked.




3. Give priority to handling emergencies


Technical Regulations: In case the elevator stops due to a malfunction, the fault should be eliminated first.




Maintenance of the 4-elevator system


Technical Regulations: ① Remove 3 maintenance steps; ② Observe the guide rails of the steps; ③ Check the step chain and its tension; ④ Check each step one by one; ⑤ Inspect the step subsidence protection device; ⑥ Check the clearance between the two sides of the step and the retaining wheel.

5. Maintenance of the handrail system


Technical Regulations: ① Check the entrances and exits of the handrail belt; ② Check whether the running speed of the handrail belt is synchronized with the steps. ③ Check whether there are any obvious scratches or signs of friction on the surface and inside the handrail strap. ④ The tension of the handrail strap; ⑤ Check the turning end of the handrail belt; ⑥ Check the handrail pulley group and idlers; ⑦ Check the handrail with friction wheels; ⑧ Cleaning of the inside and outside of the handrail strap.


Inspection standard: ① Observe whether the handrail is in the middle of the protective opening when it is lifted and lowered. ② Whether the difference between the operating speed and the step operation complies with the standards of this enterprise; ③ Check whether the handrail has exposed steel wires and any sources of scratches, and eliminate them. ④ Check whether the tension of the handrail belt complies with the standards of this enterprise. 6. Check the safety protection devices

7. Maintain and adjust the transmission components


Technical Regulations: ① Inspection of the Operating status of the reducer; ② Maintenance of the brake: Adjust the brake spring appropriately to ensure the braking torque. ③ Inspection of sprockets; ④ Main drive chain inspection; ⑤ Maintenance of the handrail transmission chain.

9. Check the control lighting system


① Up and down key switch; ② Upper and lower emergency stop switches; ③ Maintenance box and upper and lower maintenance sockets; ④ Lighting control switch; ⑤ Inspect and repair the lighting fixtures; ⑥ Handrail lighting and step gap lighting.


Inspection standard: ① The direction of the key switch should be consistent with the running direction; ② The emergency stop switch is effective; ③ When in use, the maintenance switch must be interlocked with the key switch. ④ There is no damage to the lamp tube or bulb cover.




The cleaning work of the 10-step road


Technical Regulations: ① During the intervals of the three dismantled maintenance steps, clean the guide rails. ② Wipe the main and auxiliary guide rails with a cotton cloth. If there is any garbage or hard dirt, scrape it off with a scraper.


Inspection standard: ① There should be no noise or jumping when the main and auxiliary wheels of the step run on the guide rail. ② The guide rail is clean and free of oil stains.




The cleaning work and overall inspection of the 11 steps


Technical Regulations: ① There should be no oil stains or dust at the treads and arc plates of the steps. ② The tooth grooves of the steps are intact and undamaged. ③ The thickness of the sliders of the steps complies with the standard. ④ The main and auxiliary wheels of the step are intact and undamaged, and they operate smoothly.


Inspection standards: ① The steps must be intact, clean and free of dirt; ② The outer diameters of the main and auxiliary wheels of the step and the bearings must comply with the standards of this enterprise and be noise-free. ③ The wear degree of the step slider complies with the standard.




12. Cleaning work for the upper and lower computer rooms


Technical Regulations: ① No items unrelated to escalators shall be placed in the upper and lower machine rooms. ② All machines and control cabinets are clean and free of dirt, standing water, oil and dust. ③ The wiring is clear and securely bound, without any friction with the moving or rotating parts.


Inspection standards: ① The grooves of the upper and lower machine rooms, cover plates, and front plates are all clean and free of oil stains. ② The lines should be straight without any broken lines, loose lines or peeling.




13. Replenishment and replacement of lubricating oil


Technical Regulations: ① Inspection of the lubricating oil level in the reducer; ② Inspection of the refueling device; ③ Lubricating oil replenishment for the step chain, drive chain and handrail drive chain; ④ Lubrication between the step slider and the apron plate; ⑤ Oiling work for all rotating, moving parts and parts prone to rust.


Inspection standards: ① The added lubricating oil must have an accurate grade, excellent quality and appropriate quantity; ② The motor and the reducer operate without noise or abnormal heating. ③ All pin shafts and ball parts of the transmission chains are kept with appropriate lubricating oil. ④ There is no friction noise between the step slider and the apron plate, and it is lubricated with grease. ⑤ There is no rust, dryness or lack of oil on the rotating and moving parts such as the brake arm, pin shaft and screw parts.




14. Wrap up the work


Technical Regulations: ① Install 3 maintenance steps; ② Trial operation; ③ Cover the upper and lower front cover plates properly; ④ Fill in the maintenance record and the maintenance cycle table of the escalator; ⑤ Hand it over to Party A's unit for use and complete the signature and receipt procedures.


Inspection standards: ① Deliver complete, clean and fully functional escalators; ② The form is filled out clearly. Both the maintainer and the recipient have signed it, and the acceptance is correct.


Note: ① Escalators must be maintained and serviced by specially trained and qualified professionals.


The maintenance cycle is generally once every 1 to 2 weeks (it can also be determined according to the actual situation).


③ The main maintenance work is: a. Wipe the machine parts and electrical components; b. Check the working conditions of each mechanical and electrical part; c. Add oil to all the components that need lubrication.


④ Medium-sized maintenance: Generally once every half a year to one year, it involves inspection, cleaning and replacement of components.


⑤ Major maintenance: The general cycle is once every three years.


The content of major maintenance and inspection includes the cleaning and adjustment of all parts as well as the replacement of damaged parts.
